There is a wide choice for meals, with most restaurants and tavernas concentrated on the main street of Paleológou - including several good psistariés towards the south end of Paleológou. One of the most popular music bars at present is Ministry opposite the Menelaďon hotel.

Averof, Paleológou 77. A long-established and reasonably priced taverna with tasty Greek home cooking; outdoor tables in summer.

Diethnes, Paleológou 105. Highly rated by the locals with a wide range of traditional dishes. The interior lacks atmosphere, but a delightful garden behind with orange and lemon trees compensates.

Dionysos, 2km out on the road towards Mystra. Expensive dishes, but served with style outdoors on a summer's evening.

Finikas, Thermopylon 51. Fine taverna cum psistari?.

Semiramis, Paleológou 58. Taverna, tucked away in the basement, with a traditional Greek menu; the house speciality is roast pork with aubergine.
