Sparta Practicalities
If it is Mystra that brings you here, and you arrive early in the day, you may well decide to move straight on. Getting out of Spárti is straightforward. The main bus terminal (for Trípoli, Athens, Monemvasi? Kalamáta and the Máni) is on the eastern edge of town at the far end of Lykoúrgou. Buses for Mystra leave (hourly on weekdays; less frequently at lunchtime and at weekends) from the main terminal and the corner of Lykoúrgou and Leonídhou; schedules are posted on the window of the caf?there. Most of the banks are on Paleológou. There is a good map/bookshop at the corner of Paleológou and Lykoúrgou.
